About the role

About the role Provides safe and efficient execution of Warehouse tasks and projects, as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor and to provide a safe and efficient Warehousing service to Site. As the Warehouse Operator you will provide effective administrative and operational support in the execution of routine warehouse activities in a timely and effective manner as instructed and in line with specified guidelines, processes and procedures. This role will be working a 7D7R7N7R 12 hour shift and be FIFO from Adelaide or residential based.  

In this role you will:
  • Perform the Distribution functions (including warehousing) to meet agreed service levels for the receipt and distribution of maintenance materials, production consumables and general consumables to site customers includes but not limited to: Issues; Receipts; Picking/packing; Despatch; Deliveries; stock taking; problem solving; and customer service.
  • Participate in the implementation of best Distribution and Warehousing practices across OD operations
  • Identify and report on cost savings opportunities, opportunities to reduce waste and better ways to conduct Distribution activities
  • Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accurate stock records and appropriate storage of materials.
  • Perform tasks in the receiving of goods/material and logs supplier non-conformances.
  • Administer quality inspection and assists scheduling technical inspection by qualified personnel.
  • Execute on-time picking, packing, consolidation and delivery of materials for planned and scheduled work.
  • Administers the collection and dispatch of materials to suppliers for repair, overhaul, return or disposal.
  • Accepts and stores returned unused materials after inspection
  • Support and maintain a high standard on housekeeping at all times to assist on the journey to meet the 5S Standard.
  • Provide excellent service in all dealings with our customers
  • Actively participate in all shift handover, safety and communication meetings
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner within allocated timeframes
  • Participate in any other projects or key tasks as directed by line manager or delegate.

About You

Currently or previously you have worked or are working in a similar role in the resources industry and have experience using the MS office suite, SAP and demonstrate strong HSEC behaviours.   Energetic and driven, you work well with challenges, bringing attention to detail and an ability to meet multiple deadlines. You relate well with people, communicate confidently and build strong working relationships.
  • Forklift License (LF mandatory and LO desirable)
  • Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (desirable)
  • Strong administrative and moderate computing skills
  • System 0perating experience (desirable)
  • SAP (desirable)
  • VOC’s for forklift licenses(to be obtained ASAP upon commencement)
