As a key member of the Underground Mining Department and reporting to the Shift Supervisor, your primary role will be safe and efficient operation of the Grader to maintain the underground roadways to a high standard. Your previous experience as a Grader Operator will have given you the ability to maintain the road networks to ensure that all travel is conducted safely, coupled with your own appreciation for safety in the work place.

About You

  • Extensive experience as a Grader Operator in an underground operation
  • Experienced in all facets of road maintenance including road chambers and drainage
  • Able to demonstrate an knowledge of production and development mining activities
  • Previous underground experience operating integrated tool carriers, underground trucks and light vehicles
  • General knowledge of equipment cleaning and maintenance procedures
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Competent in being a safe and responsible driver
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively on a two-way radio
  • Self motivated with a strong commitment to working in a team
  • A valid license to drive in Australia

Nickel West Leinster
