About the role

We are seeking a Paramedic Emergency Services to work within our Health, Safety and Environment Business Partnering team at our Mt Arthur mine site in the Hunter Valley. The role reports to the site HSE Superintendent - Business Partnership. Permanent, residential position working a 5/5/4 days / nights roster.   Your role will be to maintain systems to ensure emergency prevention, preparedness, response and recovery is effective. Liaising with Operational Leaders to ensure medical / clinical management requirements are coordinated and management of specific Security and Emergency Management (SEM) projects aligned with HSE Business Plan.  


In this role you will:
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
  • Maintain systems to ensure emergency prevention, preparedness, response and recovery is effective.
  • Liaising with Operational Leaders to ensure medical / clinical management requirements are coordinated.
  • Management of specific Security and Emergency Management (SEM) projects aligned with HSE Business Plan.
  • Maintain operational medical emergency response readiness.
  • Manage clinical presentations, medical emergencies and injury management.
  • Assist with site security, security access systems, and front of house duties.
  • Complete reports, clinical notes and other documentation.
  • Complete monthly poison permit audits and clinical governance duties.
  • Coordination of health promotion activities, medical and first aid training and Drug and Alcohol collection.

About You

You will have successfully completed a minimum diploma in paramedical science or equivalent tertiary qualification and have a certificate III Mines Rescue or equivalent. Previous site experience and exposure to drug and alcohol testing is highly desirable.

Having exposure to Health, Safety and Environmental protocols and emergency management with paramedical care will demonstrate your leadership skills in managing people in emergency situations.

Energetic and driven, you work well with challenges, bringing attention to detail and an ability to meet multiple deadlines. You relate well with people, communicate confidently and build strong working relationships.
