About the role

An exciting role is now available at the Kwinana Nickel refinery (NKW).  We are looking for a suitable candidate with industry experience in a mineral or chemical processing plant to apply for the role of Permit Coordinator in the Utilities area. Key responsibilities for this role are:
  • Coordination of the permit to work process for the Utilities area to enable a safe handover of plant and equipment between production and maintenance.
  • Set the standard and be the subject matter expert for safely managing the Permit to Work Process
  • Coordinating the day-to-day, week-to-week permitting requirements for the Utilities Operation team
  • Coordinating and completing preparation for planned outages - includes permitting and resources (i.e. tags, locks, isolation tools) prepared prior to outage commencing
  • Assist with plant issues relating to isolation issues, and support troubleshooting of day-to-day plant operating issues
  • Participating in the Utilities area improvements or upgrades that require permit to work process or stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in Electronic Permitting systems would be an advantage for this role.
  • The other duties may include performing some tasks at the Refinery’s offsite facilities and assisting the Production Coordinator in executing tasks pertaining to this role.
