About the role

The Principal Account Management is accountable for efficiently & effectively implement the SRM framework and continuous improvement pipeline with our strategic mobile equipment suppliers.



·       Conforms to the BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton 'Our Requirements' (GLDs), Code of Conduct & relevant statutory obligations;

·       Displays an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility & sustainable development;

·       Supports the Manager in sustaining a high performing team culture & ensuring alignment with the broader Supply & BHP culture;

·       Applies the BHP SRM framework to a specific set of Mobile Equipment suppliers to deliver value and reduce risk through one globally coordinated interface, which includes:

-      Development of relationship strategy & objectives;
-      Development of the joint business plans & operational routines;
-      Develop a strong CI pipeline and reporting mechanism
-      Leads or supports the development of new innovations or technologies that can be applied to optimize SRM processes;
-      Play a leadership role in key commercial events including contract negotiations;
-      Management of performance & risks including performance review routines & issue resolution/escalation.
-      Supports the integration of the account management team with the category management teams;
-      Understand the market conditions and provide vendors insights that can help shaping the relationship
-      Coordinate with other key functions such as operations, maintenance, and technology, to gather relevant information about the supplier and ensure a single point of communication to the vendor.
-     Coordinate executive engagements between the companies.

About You

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in delivering value and managing risk through collaborative, structured relationships with customers and suppliers. You will have exceptional analytical, modelling and communication skills. It is essential that you have the ability to use analytics in decision making, problem solve and manage risk in a sustainable manner.
