About Jansen:The Jansen Potash Project, BHP’s largest and most advanced potash project is about 140km southeast of Saskatoon, where BHP’s Canadian Headquarters are located. Jansen will use the latest technology and subject to approval from our Board, will be the first greenfield potash development in Saskatchewan in over 40 years. About the role

About the Role:
This position will work within the project team to provide Level 1 risk support to the Jansen Project team. 
The main duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development. 
  • Guide project teams to identify, assess, treat, monitor and review all material and non-material risks in accordance with Our Requirements for Risk Management.
  • Support risk and control owners to capture risks in the risk register.
  • Deliver the project Risk Management Plan ahead of next gate to execution.
  • Deliver the Study Risk chapter ahead of next gate to execution
  • Support the application of the risk management process to ensure standardization across the project.
  • Support and coach the project team to build capability in the application of the risk management framework.
  • Support the facilitation of risk identification, assessment and treatment workshops as requested; Project teams accountable for scope, timing, and appropriate representation.  
  • Flow of fatal risk information to and from internal systems to the risk registers. 
  • Project’s compliance with Our Requirements of Risk Management of project risk assessments and classify risks as material and non-material. 
  • Drive continuous improvement in our risk processes and deliverables.
  • Support regular reporting to Project management.  

About You

About You
Must Have:The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in engineering, business, finance or another relevant field. You will also have sufficient experience in risk management in an operational or projects environment.
Nice to Have:In addition to the above, it would be beneficial, but not required, for you to also have mining, petroleum, or other relevant industry experience. It would also be an asset to have demonstrated proficiency in analytics and narrative interpretation.
