About the role

Accountable for building a strategic partnership and act as a single point of interface between Technology and the business, to drive alignment of Technology strategy, plans and execution with business needs and opportunities.  Accountable for effective collaboration in the Technology Partner community.

  • Partnering with the respective Assets and Operations or Global Functions to build an understanding of technology processes and requirements.
  • Translates operational risks, priorities and improvement opportunities into technology requirements.
  • Gives input to relevant Asset, Operations or Global Function technology projects and drives engagement and integration across the Technology sub-functions to deliver project outcomes.
  • Assesses the business case for relevant Asset, Operations or Global Function technology projects.
  • Facilitates the implementation, change management, adoption and embedment of Technology projects in line with business plans in partnership with the delivery sub-functions.
  • Develop and own strategic roadmap for assigned areas, as well as establish and maintain the portfolio of priority Technology projects, driving alignment of Technology strategy and Business priorities
  • Endorse Technology Projects and Business cases
  • Drive consistent expectations, understanding and application of technology solutions and services in line with agreed timeframes and service level agreements
  • Leverage delivery capabilities from the Technology teams and drive integration across Technology to ensure delivery of business outcomes including benefits realisation, business readiness and change management
  • Communicate Technology performance and provide feedback to Technology teams and Leadership Team on systems and processes for continuous improvement
  • Point of contact for major issues and escalations relating to assigned portfolio and lead successful resolution engaging all relevant

  • Responsible for raising awareness of technology services and elevating the profile of Technology within assigned areas

About You

* STEM degree ideally with Post-graduate Degree in strategy, business or finance
* 7+ years strategy technology and/or consulting experience
* Experience in leadership roles and previous accountability for developing, influencing and executing strategic plans and/or project portfolios or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal skills and technical knowledge.
* Significant business and ideally consulting experience with a broad range of exposure to management levels.
* Experience engaging people in a collaborative and positive way
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple inputs and effectively prioritise high value / high risk issues for attention
* Effective communicating, networking and negotiating skills
* Strong critical thinking and business acumen; understanding of strategic business concepts, experience in translating ideas from concept to actionable plans.
* Ability to work cross functionally at all levels of the organisation
* Work location on site Minera Escondida - 4x3 shift
