About the role

By joining BHP’s globally integrated strategic procurement function you will be supported to grow and develop your skills. Reporting to the Manager, Rail and Port Procurement you will manage risk and create sustainable value for our Assets by setting strategic direction, safely delivering against priorities and developing the team. This role is accountable for solving complex business problems within our rail & port portfolio, delivery of sourcing plans, developing relationships with strategic partners and ensuring compliance and financial obligations are met. Stakeholder engagement and team development are priorities.

About You

You will bring a strong problem-solving toolkit, relationship management experience and an advanced understanding in how to drive value through contracts. Tertiary educated with high level written and verbal communication is essential to engage purposefully with stakeholders. Mining experience is not required, however working for a large organisation is desirable.
