About the role

Reporting into the Manager Assurance working within the division of Minerals Australia Projects Program Management Office your role is helping to  develop a high level of project assurance competence and awareness across Minerals Australia Projects whilst providing support to the Manager Assurance through the timely provision of assurance related information and assessments.

This position is based in our Adelaide office.

In this role you will:
  • Support the Minerals Australia Projects assurance process, improvement and monitoring for Minerals Australia Projects in line with BHP policies and procedures, and the Minerals Australia Project Internal Standard;
  • Provide project assurance support and Governance to Minerals Australia Projects with a specific focus on Olympic Dam asset and major projects; and
  • Provide support to the Manager Assurance through the timely provision of assurance related information and assessments.

About You

You will have successfully completed a technical or business related undergraduate degree (IT, Engineering, Business, Commerce etc.). Additionally, a project management qualification, or proven working experience in project management will be favoured.

You will have a sound working knowledge of governance and assurance theory and able to apply it consistently to a high standard in a range of business settings and scenarios.  Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities / efficiencies in governance frameworks to enhance productivity is one of your strengths and you can demonstrate sound decision making associated with the development, implementation and maintenance of governance processes.

You relate well with people, communicate confidently and build strong working relationships. You embrace change and are not afraid to think outside the box to enhance the value of assurance processes.
