About the role

We have an opportunity for a Principal Project Management to join our Communications and Infrastructure team within Technology, Delivery West. You will have the opportunity to lead, deliver and support a wide variety of sustaining capital and improvement projects.

Reporting to the Manager Communications and Infrastructure, your key accountabilities include:
  • Lead, plan and coordinate a portfolio of Communications and Infrastructure projects from concept initiation, execution and transition into support, including preparation of project documentation and procedures;
  • Overseeing all aspects of project delivery by managing budget, scope and schedule whilst maintaining a high level of key stakeholder engagement and guide relevant projects through project delivery;
  • Providing input into the portfolio budgets, plans and schedules and where required, supporting feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, impact assessments and project business cases to obtain project approvals
  • Overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development;
  • Development and mentoring of our up and coming internal talent.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or similar and possess 5+ years’ experience delivering capital projects for fixed plant, non-process infrastructure and/or control system assets. A professional certification such as Prince 2, PMP or a Diploma in Project Management will be well regarded, as will demonstrated experience delivering wireless, LTE, hosting and/or communications infrastructure. You will have advanced MS Office skills and ideally possess a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project, SAP business solution.
As the preferred candidate, you will be a confident team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, who takes accountability for outcomes and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. You will be highly organised and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a high-pressure environment.
