The Application team provides application expertise to deliver global Technology initiatives. Several sub teams of technical experts are responsible for the management of the application portfolio and we are currently seeking Principal solution engineers to join our Design & Engineering team in Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne.

Key accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Providing Application design and engineering services to support the delivery of the Technology portfolio.
  • Ensuring solutions are aligned with the Technology architecture and standards and follow design & engineering best practices.
  • Managing application life cycle and application improvement activities required to sustain the business.
  • Partnering with Technology & Business stakeholders that result in mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Managing Application capability resources by providing mentoring, coaching, leadership and management. 

About You

You will have successfully completed a degree preferably in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) subject. You will have 5+ years post-qualification experience in application design & engineering, methodologies and practices with increasing levels of complexity and responsibilities. Experience in application and portfolio life cycle management along with exposure to Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid Waterfall project methodologies will be highly regarded.

You will have a high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to prioritise, analyse, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material using multiple sources of information. You are a team player who is able to build rapport and establish credibility through your strong technical ability and engaging style, allowing you to communicate confidently and build strong working relationships across multiple levels in the organisation. Demonstrated leadership experience will also be highly regarded with the ability to effectively delegate, motivate, maintain enthusiasm and inspire team members.

Experience working in a similar capacity for a large enterprise in the resources, manufacturing or other process-driven industry with operational technology experience will be advantageous.
