About the role

The Principal Asset Transformation is accountable for accelerating transformation value delivery and sustainable change capability at an enterprise level, and also dedicated for a particular Asset or Region. Within an Asset/Region will work under the guidance of the Region/Asset Transformation Leads, supporting to influence and customise the application of global Transformation programs, activities, tools and frameworks to the Asset or Region’s requirements.

Core Accountabilities

Asset Transformation lead / Asset Transformation support

  • Develop a broadly globally consistent foundation for Transformation and ongoing change adoption in respective area
  • Foundation includes areas of Program Management (including Integrated Transformation Plan for Asset / Region), risk management approach, organisational change management, engagement, communication, culture and leadership, value realisation/management and Corporate Alignment and short term planning
  • Provide a single point of contact for Transformation Services expertise to support the Asset / Region Transformation Lead
  • Support Asset / Regional teams to contextualize the Transformation strategy, Programs, risk and change impacts and integration points
  • Provide the Asset Transformation Lead with data-driven insights and analytics regarding transformation

Transformation global integration

  • Ensure broad alignment of Asset / Region transformation approach with global Transformation Blueprint (and 5YP commitments)
  • Provide a single interface internally to Transformation for the deployment of Transformation Services (change, value, reporting etc.) to the Asset
  • Bring the Asset context to the central Transformation team, keeping them closely connected with Region / Asset priorities and support needs
  • Integrate Asset / Region level reporting with global routines and reporting, and support to integrate across multiple enterprise level stakeholders (Transformation Function, Programs and others) as required
  • Support integrated change management efforts in the region, through developing a strategy and comms materials relevant to the region while keeping the intent of global Transformation 

About You

Exposure to strategic risk management, including the identification and control of emerging risks in a dynamic delivery environment.Data analysis and problem diagnosis experienceStrategic thinking capability, including demonstrated experience in strategic business planning and portfolio managementUnderstanding and experience with delivering frontline change management in BHPDemonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, coaching and influencing with senior stakeholder groups, including Asset LeadershipDelivery of complex, global transformation related projectsA Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geoscience would be highly regardedExperience working in, or closely with, the Asset Planning teams
