About the role

As a Principal of Work Management, you will be responsible for managing and improving Technology IT & OT Operations internal processes, in order to align scheduled work and workload with business processes and deliver value by ensuring work is executed efficiently and safely.
Reporting to the Manager of Work Management, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Manage Work Management processes and procedures within Technology organization, in alignment with maintenance processes and strategies.
  • Ensure that work is scheduled efficiently, optimizing workload and reducing risk.
  • Establish relationship within different areas of the organization to ensure scheduled work is timely coordinated and informed to all stakeholders.
  • Follow-up and analyze work data, evaluating overall quality, trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Define and control relevant metrics and KPIs.
  • Ensure the accuracy and availability of any master data required by BHP’s Work Management and Service Management tools.
  • Ensure that all changes are risk assessed and well managed.
  • Ensure the delivery of root cause analysis for problems and schedule defect elimination.
  • Lead, coach and mentor team members to ensure delivery against performance targets.
  • Execute safe systems of work for Technology, utilizing existing work management processes.
  • Encourages Zero Harm philosophy.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the safe execution of maintenance activities that reduce failure rates and downtime of OT equipment and Systems across BHP Chile.
  • Execute Service management operational processes to drive consistent service delivery across the Technology landscape.
    Schedule planned work in a safe manner, that supports the transition of new or enhanced Technology services from Projects or Design & Modification to application and asset owners.

About You


Qualifications
  • Relevant degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or discipline related to the function.

Experience & Knowledge
  • Demonstrable experience in Maintenance Service Management for operations in Mining, Telecommunications or Productive Processes.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets.
  • Experience leading teams and third-party vendors is desirable.
  • Good understanding of safe maintenance processes.
  • Good understanding of ITIL framework is desirable.

Languages
  • Proficiency in English language is desired.
