About the role

We currently have the opportunity for a Processing Coordinator to join our Production Processing team at Blackwater. Reporting to the Superintendent Production Processing, this position is a critical interface between Mining and Logistics teams and develops plans to ensure that the Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) achieves safety, production, efficiency and quality targets. This is a fantastic career opportunity for an individual looking to grow and develop their skills and play a critical role in assisting the mine to achieve production yields.

This is a residential position with an even time dayshift roster.

In this role you will:
  • Develop short term processing, stacking and train reclaim plans to maximise equipment utilisation achieve quality targets; 
  • Work closely with Mining, Operations, and Laboratory to ensure efficient coal flow from mine to train loadout; 
  • Interface with offsite Logistics team to ensure railed coal meets shipping requirements; 
  • Use system-view of product quality to drive customer focused results; 
  • Foster a culture with a focus on reducing costs through maximising recovery, minimising down time and eliminating waste; and 
  • Provide leadership and coaching across CHPP team. 

About You

As the ideal candidate you can demonstrate experience in either coal quality, processing or logistics fields within the industry. Your high focus on safety and collaborative workstyle will enable you to build strong relationship across the local team and beyond.

To liaise with a variety of stakeholders, it is important you are a confident verbal and written communicator. In addition, your strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as a high level of motivation and drive will assure you are able to identify and deliver projects to optimise CHPP operation in terms of Safety, Volume and Cost.
