About the role

Due to an internal move, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor at our bustling Port Facility in Port Hedland. Leading a team of Production Technicians, you will drive a positive culture within your team, while focusing on ensuring optimal utilisation of equipment in a safe and efficient manner. 

 As a Supervisor for this team, you will play a key role by:
  • Actively contributing to the achievement of production goals through the operation of fixed and mobile plant, including car dumpers, stackers, reclaimers, screens, sample stations, ship loaders, loaders, forklifts, bobcats and trucks
  • Monitoring and measuring standards of work and performance of team members
  • Providing coaching and training to your team 
  • Completing workplace inspections and field leadership activities to ensure your team are operating safely 
  • Identifying and resolving problems and assessing the potential impact on production, plant and equipment
  • Reviewing ongoing planning activities with the aim of continuously improving equipment availability and reliability

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
  • Successful completion of Secondary Education to Year 12 is desirable. Year 10 minimum
  • Supervisory experience, particularly relating to Operations, in a similar heavy industry or industrial type environment
  • Previous experience in mineral processing and associated maintenance practices and disciplines is preferable
  • Background in operating fixed or mobile plant
  • C Class drivers licence

In this residential role you will be based in the coastal town of Port Hedland, Western Australia. Port Hedland is home to our port and rail operations and is the largest regional centre in North West Australia.  The 20,000-strong population enjoys well-established education services, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities. 

The excellent sporting and leisure facilities include; a new aquatic centre, sports stadium and water play park. Its beaches and mangroves are home to an abundance of fish and other wildlife.  Within driving distance are the spectacular Broome, Karratha and Karijini national Park. As this is a residential position, you will also be provided with relocation for you and your family and heavily subsidised company housing in addition to power and water subsidies.
