About the role

We are currently seeking applications for a Pump Technician to join the Mine Services team. This role will be reporting to the Mine Services Superintendent and will be providing maintenance and repair to the pumps and tools. The successful candidate will have a solid fabrication background and welding experience.In this role you will:
  • Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
  • Mostly workshop based, but will be out in the mine at times
  • Maintenance and servicing of air pumps and tools
  • Metal fabrication of basic objects
  • Provide creative solutions to bespoke fabrication challenges
  • Ordering parts and equipment via computer-based SAP as required
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards

About You

  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm's way
  • Previous experience in fabrication and welding
  • Underground mining experience preferred
  • Boilermaker trade or the like helpful, but not necessary
  • Must have current manual Driver’s License
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously when required as well as in a team
  • A team player with the ability to communicate effectively across all leve
