About the role

Within our Centralised Maintenance team we have a number of newly created Reliability Engineer opportunities working at our mine sites across Queensland. In these roles you will coordinate continual improvement initiatives with the opportunity to add real value to our Maintenance crews. 
You will support the frontline and leaders to develop and sustain new ways of working, building their problem solving capability.  You will utilise innovative approaches, tools and technology to add real value to maintenance – setting new standards to guide improvement activity, elevating and supporting our people. 
Additionally you will complete the following tasks:
  • Work with maintenance teams to ensure the reliability and maintainability of existing and modified infrastructure, including managing the technical queries for the structural integrity maintenance team
  • Participate in the execution of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans
  • Develop and manage the acceptance tests and inspection criteria process
  • Participate in the final check out of asset structural integrity maintenance works
  • Professionally and systematically define, design, develop, monitor and refine an Asset Maintenance Plan
  • Effectively utilize predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
  • Work with maintenance teams to develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect operations.

  • Strong stakeholder management with an ability to influence outcomes
  • Experience leading and/or coaching teams on site - ideally
