About BHP

At BHP we support our people to grow, learn, develop their skills and reach their potential. With a global portfolio of operations, we offer a diverse and inclusive environment with extraordinary career opportunities.  Our strategy is to focus on creating a safe work environment where our employees feel strongly connected to our values and objectives, and where the capability of our people is key to our success. Come and be a part of this success.

About the role

An exciting role is now available at the Kwinana Nickel refinery (NKW).  This role offers the suitable candidate the opportunity to work across the entire site dealing with managing all aspects of scaffolding for supporting the Maintenance and Operations departments as well as the Asset Integrity team.

About You

Naturally, we expect the suitable applicant to be a self-starter with an ability to build strong relationships across the site.  We are looking for a person experienced at leading teams in a dynamic work environment dealing with both planned and emerging work. Computer literacy is essential.
The role requires the applicant to hold a current Advanced Scaffolding High Risk work license and a nationally accredited working at heights qualification.
EWP and rigging qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
You must be practical, able to make decisions regarding working at height access options, work autonomously and be a good problem solver.
As part of the recruitment process for this position you may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and participate in a background screen including a criminal history check, identity check and qualifications check.

Supporting a diverse workforce

At BHP, we recognise that we are strengthened by diversity. We are committed to providing a work environment in which everyone is included, treated fairly and with respect. We are an Equal Opportunity employer and we encourage applications from women and Indigenous people. We know there are many aspects of our employees’ lives that are important, and work is only one of these, so we offer benefits to enable your work to fit with your life.  These benefits include flexible working options, a generous paid parental leave policy, other extended leave entitlements and parent rooms.
