About the role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Serviceperson to join our Underground Maintenance team at Leinster. The successful individual will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will demonstrate the following:
  • Previous experience as a Serviceperson in a mining environment
  • Perform planned Maintenance on mobile mining equipment in both active Mining areas and in our fully equipped underground workshop.
  • Equipment: CAT Loader’s
  • Sandvik DD421 Development drills (Jumbo) 
  • Sandvik Production drills 
  • Normet Charge up & Spray machines 
  • Volvo integrated tool carriers 
  • Epiroc MT6020 and MT65 Haul trucks
  • Ensure that all documentation and data entry is accurately completed
  • Overriding commitment to BHP Billiton Charter, health, safety, environment and sustainable development
  • Maintain a high level working knowledge of safety processes

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
  • Experience in underground mining operations (desirable)
  • Experience working as a Serviceperson or an LV Fitter
  • Knowledge and experience of preventative maintenance on mobile plant equipment
  • Minimum of C class manual Drivers Licence
  • Ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes and work with minimal supervision
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
