About the role

As the Compliance Supervisor you will report directly to the Superintendent Draglines and be responsible for supporting the OCE’s and driving compliance to the Site Safety and Health Management Plan.

Additionally, you will utilise your team’s abilities to work across technical and operational stakeholders and deliver on competing priorities in order to achieve mutually beneficial safety and production outcomes for the wider operation.

You will have an unwavering commitment to safety and this will be clearly demonstrated throughout your prior experience. You will also have strong verbal communication and engagement skills and you will use your ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities on a daily basis. As the successful applicant, you will also have:

• Hold a current QLD OCE Certificate of Competency as mandatory
• Previous experience as an Open Cut Examiner with a strong understanding of Open Cut Mining practices
• Experience leading a team
• A desire to coach and lead employees on issues pertaining to health, safety and the environment and
• Well-developed communication and collaboration skills and an ability to work across various stakeholders.
