The South Flank Project is an expansion of BHP's existing Mining Area C hub, located approximately 130 km by road north-west of the town of Newman. This project has potential to become one of the largest standalone iron ore processing centres in the world, within reach of several billion tonnes of high-grade ore.

About the role

Reporting to the Shutdown Superintendent, the Shutdown Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination and execution of scheduled plant shut downs. With safety at the forefront, this role will be focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader and engaging your team. Lead from the front at time of execution and support the shutdowns from through to completion.

You will follow implemented process and procedures to make sure things are running safely, on time and on budget. You will foster effective and productive working relationships across all internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate an overriding commitment to working in and promoting a health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development

About You

You will be an extremely compliant and outcome focused individual who thrives in a fast paced environment.

You will demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership’.

You will have the ability to manage relationships with a number of stakeholders across the business. Experience with Fixed Plant Maintenance is seen as desirable. You must be flexible and comfortable to do additional hours and shifts during the shutdown period and this role may suit those from a scheduling and planning background
