About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Contracts and Compliance, the Site Compliance Coordinator – Caval Ridge will be engaged in ensuring the compliance of the Mine's Health Safety Management system. Your knowledge and sound experience of the coal mining legislation will ensure you to succeed in this role.

Your responsibilities

  • Undertake statutory inspections in accordance with coal mining legislation (Open Cut Examiner's Certificate) and ensuring compliance with the Mine's HSEC management system;
  • Proactively communicate, monitor, advise and report on the improvement and compliance towards HSEC responsibilities;
  • Maintain mining standards in all areas including road design, work areas and dumps;
  • Coach and develop employees whilst fostering strong positive working relationships between team members and other departments;
  • Work with peers from the functions and operations in order to resolve resourcing and scheduling issues so as to deliver optimal overall production and engage functional support when necessary;
  • Identify, implement, support and monitor improvement initiatives.

About You

The successful candidate will have a current Open Cut Examiners Ticket, G2 and S1,2,3 ticket, First Aid Certificate along with relevant industry experience. Your previous Open Cut Examiner experience and qualifications along with your experience operating heavy mining equipment will ensure success in this role.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels. A strong commitment to ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential and along with the ability to maintain high standards
