About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Execution, as the Planner Maintenance Site you will be responsible for leading your maintenance teams with responsibility for weekly and long term maintenance of Dump Station, Stacker reclaimers, Shiploader, ancillary equipment and Shutdown Maintenance as well as providing planning input to ensure the safe achievement of department objectives. 

This role is based in the Mackay Area at BMA’s Hay Point Coal Terminal Site working a 5 and 2 day roster.

In this role you will:

  • Apply your technical and systems knowledge to ensure maintenance activities are planned for with a high level of effectiveness from within our world class Operating facility
  • Require strong process discipline and adherence to systems and frameworks, along with thorough job analysis and planning detail
  • Need to apply technical knowledge and understanding of the equipment and maintenance practices to develop fully resourced work plans
  • Be strong with stakeholder engagement, communication, organisation and influencing skills with the ability to manage field assets throughout their life cycle

The following qualifications and skillsets are desirable for success in the role:
• Fundamental Understanding of Asset Health across a range of Equipment
• Maintenance planning experience highly desirable
• SAP or similar CMMS software use and
• Exposure to Master Data and Continuous Improvement.

About You

To be successful as a Leader in this role you will have a relevant tertiary qualification or trade qualification with proven maintenance planning experience. Your strong focus on safety, drive and passion to lead and develop the planned maintenance process will see you succeed in this role. Your people and communication skills are of the upmost importance as well as your relationship skills when liaising, negotiating and influencing a range of internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience with 1SAP will be beneficial.

The nature of the role requires you to be a people leader, a forward thinker and focused on process discipline. A background in participation in a high performing teams with a strong safety focus will be critical to the success of this position.

The following qualifications and skillsets are desirable for success in the role:
• Qualified Mechanical Trade, Maintenance planning experience ,Engineering Degree or similar
• Experience in Maintenance or heavy industry
• Experience with Maintenance Shutdowns or Project Management
• Experience with Fixed Plant or materials handling / processing
• Experience with SAP or similar maintenance planning software
• Experience with Microsoft office software.
