About the role

As a Registered Nurse / Paramedic at our Kalgoorlie operation, your primary role is to ensure the health and wellbeing of our workforce and members of our community, through the treatment of injuries and illnesses, injury management and return to work processes. Please note this is a residential based role in Kalgoorlie, working at out Kalgoorlie operation. This role is offered on a family friendly roster of 5 days on 2 days off (Monday – Friday). Located in Kalgoorlie reporting to the onsite Health, Safety and Environment Superintendent your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing necessary treatment for onsite injuries and illnesses, supported (where necessary) by onsite Emergency Services personnel and external health care providers;
  • Management and execution of injury management and return to work programs, including involvement in workers compensation processes;
  • Injury Management of all employees as necessary:
  • Delivering and continuously improving the quality of reporting of health information;
  • Maintaining core medical centre processes relating to equipment calibrations, dispensing medications and general medical consumable stock management;
  • Ongoing engagement of site stakeholders regarding active injury management cases;
  • Ensure reporting to line managers is maintained  and is consistent to site.

About You

You will have successfully completed a nursing or paramedic undergraduate degree and hold current registration with AHPRA and hold a manual drivers licence.

Experienced in emergency nursing and demonstrated clinical abilities and working knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice. Practical experience includes the dispensing and administration of medicines under the guidelines of a Poison Permit.
