About the role

Reporting directly to the Lead Business Excellence, you will work closely with the HR Operations function to design and deliver capability development solutions to customer facing roles within HR Operations. You will be responsible for analysing relevant customer data to identify and implement potential training and coaching needs to ensure the HR Operations teams understand the business context of services provided and their role in customer outcomes. You will also make significant contributions to the development of a customer orientated service within the function by driving commercial acumen as well as cultural and behavioural change.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and plan for the uplift of capability of the HR Operations team by ensuring integration and alignment with HR Operations leadership team by analysing customer data and feedback 
  • Direct and influence the HR Operations leadership team by providing a clear vision, context and objects to enhance, uplift, and sustain the capability of the Shared Service Centre 
  • Coach and mentor HR Operations Leadership team and team leads to equip them with a clear understanding of their roles in leading the SSC whilst also enabling and empowering their teams to uplift effectiveness and efficiency
  • Determine prioritisation of development capabilities with HR Operations leadership team and propose most effective learning methods to address these, which may include coaching, Instructor Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor Led Training (V-ILT), and Social Learning methods where applicable. 
  • Define Capability Development roadmaps for HR Operations customer facing roles including measurement metrics and methods to monitor the quality and effectiveness of the learning environment and outcomes. 
  • Develop learning solutions focused on helping operational teams to prioritise and understand their customer needs and how they can develop key capabilities to meet them
  • Develop agile solutions that can be deployed at speed where necessary based on emerging or changing priorities as required 
  • Own and support the roll out of BHP Operating Systems including Field Leadership across the HR Operations team
  • Drive cultural and behavioural change within the SSC operational teams with focus on customer experience

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to be a dynamic team player with a passion for people, learning and capability improvement. We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in providing coaching and targeted learning solutions with particular focus on customer experience
  • Mastery of course content including certification as appropriate
  • Specialist knowledge in assigned curricula areas, preferably in Human Resources or Shared Services environment
  • Ability to work effectively with people across all levels of the organisation (administrators to executive leadership team) and cross-culturally as part of a global team
  • Ability to effectively manage time and conflicting priorities
  • Ability to think conceptually and drive practical solutions
  • Ability to influence others to achieve desired outcomes
  • Ability to perform highly complex and varied tasks and efficiently problem solve
  • Ability to work autonomously within complex environment
  • Degree or qualifications in human resources or other relevant business degree required
