About the role

In this role you will:
  • Act as a trusted partner to operational stakeholder in respect of contract management
  • Offer a detailed understanding of their portfolio of contracts including technical knowledge, demand analysis and spend analysis
  • Work collaboratively across Supply (Region, Global and across sub-functions) and operational stakeholders across Australia to manage high value/high risk contracts
  • Adopt a business partnering approach to supplier management
  • Drive and coach suppliers, Contract Owners and Contract Owner Representatives to optimise supplier performance within the contract framework and help achieve supply supported targets through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Pursue operational and commercial excellence through continuous improvement
  • Contribute to achieving Supply performance targets
  • Build trusted relationships and effectively influences key asset and functional stakeholders to deliver required work outcomes
  • Contribute to a positive team culture across Category Management
  • Assist Manager Category Management and Principals to manage portfolio risks and governance requirements
  • Highly value being part of a team and enjoys collaboration
  • Contribute to category strategy development and appropriate sourcing activities
  • Manage all contract portfolio accountabilities including contract extensions and contract variations

About You

  • Pragmatic commercial outlook and exemplary judgement (balances business value vs. risk) to deliver best outcome
  • Demonstrated experience with contract law and/or contract management
  • Collaborative mind-set and advanced interpersonal skills
  • Highly capable in building constructive long term relationships
  • Ability to think laterally to independently resolve issues and influence change
  • Autonomous, detail oriented, organised, and objective
  • Identify risks and appropriate control options
