About the role

A newly created role as Specialist Contracts Operations is now available at our South Walker Creek Coal mining Operation. Join a tight knit leadership team and transfer your contracts management experience into a production environment on site.

As the Specialists Contracts Operations you will be the first point of contact for any contract related queries on site. Working closely with our Supply Division, as well as other important stakeholders, you will ensure efficient leverage of the existing contracts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Effectively execute and administer the contract from an operational perspective, to ensure alignment of contract outcomes with desired plan and execution delivery;
  • Communicate the risk vs. reward when a decision is made; 
  • Monitor performance to support delivery of the desired contract outcomes, maintain a competitive cost position and support contract performance that is mutually beneficial to both parties;
  • Read and interpret contract documents and ensure all parties are being held accountable;
  • Validate monthly invoices to ensure contractual compliance;
  • Provide contractual administrative support to the Superintendents, including document management, trend analysis, formal notices and communications, minutes and actions;

About You

To be successful in this role you hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant field and can demonstrate experience in administrating large contracts in a heavy industry environment, as well as working with a variety of contracting models.

In addition, you are able to build positive stakeholder relationships and organise your workload autonomously and timely.
