About the role

In this role, you will manage the BAU (business as usual) annual budgeting, cost estimating, tracking actuals and forecasting. You will ensure all BAU costs are tracked and reported, monthly forecasts are done accurately and POs, invoices etc. are verified and validated as part of the global team.Reporting to the Manager Cost Management, your key accountabilities will include:
  • Support Delivery of the sub-functions annual budgeting cycle.
  • Engage key stakeholders for input to during quarterly forecasting.
  • Delivery of month-end process including guidance on accrual treatment, forecasts and reporting.
  • Conduct variance analysis of financial outcomes and produce insights and mitigation plans where appropriate.
  • Assist in the definition of metrics used to evaluate delivery performance to budget.
  • Implement and maintain estimation and budgeting tools, metrics and best practices.

About You

To be successful in this role, you are likely to have 3+ years post-qualification experience and possess a tertiary qualification in Management Accounting, Business or similar discipline. You will have experience in financial budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Experience with 1SAP and financial and budgeting tools is essential. You can demonstrate a detailed understanding of cost centre structures and WBS code structures.

You will be a resourceful and collaborative problem-solver who can cut through complexity and ambiguity and your ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously will be critical. You will have outstanding interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence, and build credibility and trust across all organisational levels and will be able to operate effectively across a global team.
