About the role

Specialist HR Consulting Specialist works as part of a regional team in HR Consulting to provide a seamless HR advisory service to line leaders and resolving escalated employee enquiries. HR Consulting Specialists are expected to work across a range of HR Service Category activities, independently or as part of a team across the Asia region.

About You

  • Degree or any relevant qualification in Human Resource
Experience & Technical Competencies

  • Expertise across the full spectrum of HR policies & practices (both local & regional), with an ability to resolve complex HR issues independently and/or in collaboration with other HR teams
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking and learning agility
  • Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organisation to achieve results  
  • Track record of delivering results as an individual contributor 
  • Proven ability to successfully work in a team and to build and maintain a positive work environment and experience working in an environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities 
  • Strong understanding of BHP’s HR systems and processes
    (or ability to quickly build knowledge)
  • 5+ years of experience working in diverse HR organisations, ideally within the shared services / mining industry and in the local area (or ability to quickly build requisite business knowledge)
  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving capability with an agile learning ability to grasp new concepts quickly and be able to apply immediately
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders and explain complex issues

  • Fluent English, both verbal and written. Spanish would be an advantage
