About the role

Reporting directly into the Manager Supply, this role is responsible for design and implementation of Supply solutions as required across the entire ERP technology platform.
In this role, your key accountabilities will include:

Solution delivery:
  • Deliver detailed design build, testing and deployment and governance within the assigned Supply Projects and Change Requests, working with the release managers and project managers with agreed quality and timelines.
  • Work independently to develop functional specifications which clearly communicate high-level architecture as well as detailed design for large, complex solutions with multiple integration points with other SAP modules/systems.
  • Communicate project status to upper management and provide insight on any current and upcoming issues
  • Escalate issues to key management and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project managers and other functional analysts to ensure Projects are on track and to resolve issues and provide root cause analysis for defects

Subject Matter Expertise:
  • Provide detailed analysis and trend management regarding problems within the Supply ERP landscape and non-SAP Enterprise applications, identifying opportunities to improve performance and mitigate future issues.
  • Perform high level solution design for enhancements or changes, incorporating the new design into the existing SAP Supply architecture
  • Execute the Identification & Selection process for projects under the Supply Technology Roadmap.
Governance:
  • Accountability for the ownership and ongoing maintenance of all Blueprints within the assigned SAP Supply area.
  • Adhere to SAP design principles, functional architecture standards and group level documents (i.e. standardization, security, customization, green-box principles, etc.)  
  • Provide guidance to key stakeholders regarding BHP design standards.

  • Energy, enthusiasm and drive to make things happen by motivating the team.
  • Effectively communicate the status of development task, raising risk and issues appropriately.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders in technology and business stakeholders, (when required) for technology trend analysis, problem management, business impact scoping and other testing / training requirements.
  • Commits to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development, as well as BHP's Charter and Code of Conduct.
  • Other duties assigned as needed

About You

  • 8-10 years of enterprise experience specializing in the design and architecture of SAP Procurement, Inventory and Warehousing areas.
  • Champion activities in the area of indirect Supply chain covering Purchasing, Inventory planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Logistic execution and cross-functional integration to plant maintenance areas.
  • Design and configuration experience in SAP MM, MRP, WM or EWM and LE.
  • Working experience in SAP Ariba & Fiori is an added advantage.
  • Provide technical expertise to transform projects and drives collaboration within the team to ensure effective execution of solution design on projects and activities.
  • Support end-to-end delivery of all BAU change based on business and technology prioritization.
  • Able to manage complex, business issues including competing priorities across projects and minor works
  • Positively influence and shape the culture to ensure a safe, productive, simple and fun workplace.
  • Certification in the SAP ERP and other leading solutions with a focus on indirect Supply chain areas is an added advantage.
    Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
