About the role

Reporting directly into the Manager, Equipment Automation West, this role partner with internal line customers to identify and understand business problems that automation can address and how it links to each Assets Value Chain Automation strategy and the Equipment Automation Roadmap.
Duties to include;
  • Develop cost effective, operable, maintainable and supportable Equipment Automation Products that address business problems and integrate with other existing/future business systems.
  • Deliver of Equipment Automation Systems across Assets through standardisation, replication and re-use.
  • Deliver and own the sub-systems requirements, termed product requirements, for equipment automation capital projects and support development, installation, verification, commissioning and validation of automated systems.
  • Deliver design artefacts for project development and the acquisition contacts.
  • Deliver execution artefacts for project delivery and the support contracts.
  • Adhere to and help improve System Engineering and Automation standards and controls
  • Advise and support one or many project teams on automation strategy and act as single point of contact for those assigned projects in delivery
  • Identify and assess technical risks associated with systems and equipment automation specifics to assigned project/s 
  • Ensure that framework and automation controls are designed into solution requirements and systems architecture to drive automation readiness

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics) mandatory
  • Experience in project delivery or consulting roles; project lifecycle experience - strategy, development, implementation and support.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate within cross-functional and multidiscipline teams
  • Prior automation experience across any industry
  • Business acumen and strategic agility
  • Happy to travel from time to time
