About the role

The Specialist Functional Analyst is responsible for the definition of functional requirements in relation to the design and development of mobile applications. In addition, he/she will lead / support, as required, the planning, development and execution of mobile applications projects. 
  • Analyse business needs and translate them into functional 
    requirements for the design and development of mobile 
    applications 
  • Create functional requirements documentation, including but 
    not limited to functional specifications, use cases, user 
    interface specifications and data modelling requirements 
  • Define clear quality goals and user satisfaction metrics 
  • Control quality of the delivered product against defined 
    requirements and follow up in the event of gaps to ensure that 
    these are appropriately filled 
  • Suggest ideas and alternatives to delivering on business 
    requirements in accordance with the Mobility CoE strategy and 
    capabilities 
  • Keep abreast of market trends in mobile applications and 
    technologies, and identify opportunities to replicate best 
    practices to support business needs 
  • Provide support in the planning, development and execution of 
    the Mobility CoE applications development projects 
  • Act as a project lead / support for single or multiple projects, 
    coordinating all aspects of the application development cycle in 
    close collaboration with the development team 
  • Ensure timeliness, completeness, consistency and accuracy of 
    all project deliverables 
  • Use agile methodology to promote flexibility, speed of delivery 
    and iterative change and improvements

About You

  • Excellent understanding of the fundamentals of mobile 
    applications, software development life cycle, and the basics of 
    technical operations 
  • Understanding of technical architecture design of applications 
    Solid knowledge of requirements gathering methodologies 
  • Hands on experience in writing functional requirements 
    documents 
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to set direction 
    and drive project teams to meet objectives 
  • Knowledge of agile methodology is a plus 
  • Proven analysis and problem solving skills, suggesting ideas and 
    alternatives to solve business problems 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to 
    present information and to facilitate discussions to gain 
    understanding and reach agreement 
  • Customer focus, stakeholder engagement and relationships 
    building skills 
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, tasks and 
    responsibilities, and working in fast paced environment 
  • Ability to effectively work in a diverse and globally dispersed 
    virtual team environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products 

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years in business analysis for web 
    and mobile application development 
  • Project management experience is mandatory, 
    agile project management experience is a plus 
  • Excellent verbal and written English and Mandarin
