In Queensland's Bowen Basin our asset BHP Billiton Mitsui Coal (BMC) is a joint venture owned by BHP Billiton (80%) and Mitsui and Co (20%) which currently operates the Poitrel & South Walker Creek mines. About the role

Reporting to the Manager Production Planning the Specialist Governance will be responsible for a variety of tasks including Risk Assessments and Work Management, as well as supporting the site leadership team with the management of events and identified hazards. On offer is a 9 day fortnight roster with flexible travel options.

Responsibilities include:

  • SAP workflow / work management
  • CCV/CET 
  • Event Management & Training leaders
  • Investigations (governance) and due diligence
  • HV/LV Metrics
  • Risk Assessment
  • Project support 

About You

The ideal candidate can demonstrate a thorough understanding and risk management and the governance of related processes. You are a strong SAP and Excel operator, with demonstrated knowledge of event management systems.

Your experience in a similar role within the resource sector, will allow you to build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver project support in a variety of improvement related projects. A background in HSE or Training is beneficial, but not mandatory.
