About the role

The application operations data team provides services in 3 key areas; databases, Integration and data management platforms. This role sits within integration, looking after a number of different integration technologies, supporting upstream/downstream applications, maintaining performance stability and driving continuous service improvement. 
     
Key accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Lead and collaborate with external Partners to manage technical operations and maintenance
  • Assist the Team in identifying and implementing initiatives that contribute to current and potential value to the business from an Integration Operations perspective.
  • Support IBM IIB as enterprise Integration platform.
  • Monitoring, maintenance and support of MII/PI, API Connect, MoveIT environments.
  • Migration/administration and deployment support from WMB7/IIB9 to IIB10.
  • MQ/MB/API connect/NiFi/Kafka Administration/Deployment and production support.
  • Server patching and lifecycle management.
  • Manage Incident, problem, change and release Management with Partner team.
  • Troubleshooting the broker performance issues related to memory utilization, CPU utilization, java Heap etc.
  • Experience in Installing/Migrating/Upgrading/Configuring of Message Broker/IIB on Windows and  Linux along with IBM MQ
  • Explore, Design and Implement automation ideas.


We are considering candidates for 3 locations; Perth, Brisbane and Singapore.

About You

You will have successfully completed a degree preferably in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) subject. You will have 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in relevant Integration technologies, and experienced in managing enterprise-wide and highly available Integration platform (IIB, IBM API Connect, MII, NiFi/Kafka, MoveIT, etc). You will also be experienced in a couple of programming languages, including Python, Java and Powerscript (amongst others). 

Importantly, you will be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members, key stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective completion of projects, manage technical operations and be a guide to solving complex problems. Being an operational role, you will be required to lend assistance sometimes out of work hours (normally over the phone) to enable the group to provide crucial 24/7 support.     


You will have a high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to prioritise, analyse, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material using multiple sources of information. Energetic and driven, you work well under pressure bringing attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines.
