About the role

In this newly created role you will report to the Superintendent Land and Tenure, and assist in the management of Nickel West’s extensive land portfolio.

As the Specialist Land and Tenure, you will be responsible for:   
  • Accurate administration and interpretation of the West Australian Mining Act and Regulations as it applies to the mineral tenement portfolio and associated agreements;
  • Ensuring the good standing of land and mineral titles;
  • Assisting the Superintendent Land and Tenure in the maintenance of obligations and commitments associated with mineral titles, freehold and leasehold land, agreements affecting management of land, and licences to operate;
  • Assisting the Superintendent Land and Tenure in monitoring and identifying any emerging tenure related issues; and
  • Liaising with senior managers, where necessary, to ensure continued good standing of land and mineral titles.

About You

Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar role where you have developed a good understanding of Mineral Titles Management and Administration, along with an understanding of property and land related legislation, especially Mineral Titles and Real Property related legislation. You have a proven ability to work autonomously and are willing to learn new areas.  Your strong communication, organisational skills and your attention to detail will all be assets.
