About the role

Specialist Analysis and Improvement l Coal | Daunia Mine
  • This role is based at Daunia Mine on a 4/4/4/2 roster, residential or FIFO from Brisbane

Reporting to the Maintenance Analysis and Improvement Superintendent, the Specialist Analysis and Improvement will be engaged to provide specialist advice, execute analysis and benchmarking of Daunia’s mobile/ancillary diesel fleet. The role will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvement initiatives that enable maintenance uplift and support business priorities for continuous improvement.


Key responsibilities
  • Be a visible field safety leader through field interaction with execution teams.
  • Build business partnerships and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business
  • Develop, implement and facilitate improvement initiatives across maintenance through sound financial and technical analysis
  • Complete Root Cause Analysis for identified faults in order to improve equipment performance
  • Conduct analysis of equipment condition monitoring reports, and integrity assessments, ensuring compliance with SAP system
  • Liaise with Maintenance Centre of Excellence (MCoE) in order to ensure compliance to governed strategies
  • Provide technical support to execution teams in order to ensure safe and reliable equipment performance.


About You

To be considered for this opportunity, where no day will be the same, the ideal candidate can demonstrate:
  • A Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree or Trade qualification
  • Demonstrated experience as Reliability Engineer
  • Ability to perform extensive root cause analysis and knowledge of defect elimination processes
  • Confidence in operating autonomously and confidently communicate with stakeholders across different areas in our organisation
  • Experience with SAP and advanced excel skills are desirable
