About the role

We now have an opportunity in the Capability Improvement (CI) team in Operations Services for a program management specialist to support full implementation of the Mastery Program in Operations Services deployments across Minerals Australia.
This role reports to the Superintendent Mastery Program and is essential to the efficient and effective operation of the Mastery Program including the resourcing of new deployments and ongoing operations.
The purpose of the Specialist Mastery Program role is to undertake comprehensive communications, engagement and planning activities for the successful implementation of the Mastery Program in Operations Services deployments across Minerals Australia.
The work of this role includes:
  • Communications: Develop content for a range of channels, including formal and informal publications, monthly communications to OS Leaders, report writing, developing and contributing to formal Mastery documents for publication on the Mastery Hub etc.
  • Work with the frontline, CI and other stakeholders to continually fine tune Mastery Program planning and scheduling to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness in the execution of Program implementation across OS.
  • Support to the ongoing Mastery communications protocol and implementation plan
  • Develop content and materials, including report writing, in collaboration with other team members.
  • Input to the design and development of an effective planning and integration methodology for Mastery Program implementation across all Operations Services deployments in Minerals Australia.
  • Supporting Mastery Program implementation across multiple Mastery activities and OS deployments through efficient scheduling of resources and high quality and timely services at the frontline.
  • Support the Capability Improvement (CI) team’s work with Analytics and Planning (A&P) and Technology groups in implementation of systems required for the effective delivery, operation, management and reporting of the Mastery Program across OS.
  • Undertake performance reporting activities within CI to deliver accurate, current and relevant information to stakeholders in the form they need, when they need it.
  • Effective team membership and collaboration within Program, CI and other teams to deliver high quality planning and scheduling services in support of the frontline implementing the OS Mastery Program.

About You

The successful candidate will have or be:
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to engage and build relationships across multiple layers of the organization from senior management to mine site leaders and technicians.
  • Experience in developing highly targeted leader focussed communications and engagement in a comparable industry and environment.
  • Good understanding and skills in the field of work process analysis and improvement.
  • Experience in continuous improvement activities
  • Preferable experience in a comparable industry and environment in planning and scheduling using MS Project.
  • Very good organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Some knowledge and experience in training and development in the resources industry would be highly regarded
  • A background in organisational training and development would be highly desirable
