About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor Site Operations, your key accountabilities will include:  
  • Completes scheduled maintenance tasks and allocated faults
  • Identifies and rectifies issues within scope and capabilities
  • Escalates issues that cannot be fixed on site and looks for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Completes daily incident updates and time confirmations including fault data capture and accurate time allocation
  • Effectively manages incident requests and task queues
  • Approaches priorities with urgency, following instructions and takes responsibility
  • Ensures that any unresolved work is escalated to the Supervisor at the end of each day

About You

This role offers a development opportunity for the right person as long as you have exceptional customer service skills. It would suit either a recent school leaver with a tertiary qualification in ICT or trade certification in Telecommunications technology or an experienced Technician with a background in providing end-user support. Ideally, you will need to have knowledge or a keen interest in one or more of the following;  
  • Radio Communications technologies,
  • IP networking;
  • Wireless Networks;
  • Cabled Networks;
  • Optical Networks;
  • CCTV systems;
  • VOIP;
  • video conferencing;
  • Fleet management systems;
  • remote monitoring and data acquisition.  
  Training can be provided for the candidate.   

  To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, who takes accountability for outcomes and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. You will be highly organised and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a high-pressure environment. A ‘C’ class driver’s licence is a mandatory requirement for this role. This role will involve working at heights and possibly work in confined space.
