About the role

We are looking for a Specialist OT Operations Technician to work at our Blackwater Mine site. The role is responsible for undertaking preventative maintenance and providing technical field support for our operational OT and IT systems including but not limited to; Fleet Management, Wireless Telemetry and Control Systems, Network, Server, Infrastructure, Analogue and Digital Radio, along with Desktop, Video conference meeting room support and Security site access gates and camera systems. In this role you will:
  • Ensure day to day Availability and Maintenance of the Fleet Management, Wireless Telemetry and Control Systems, Network, Rajant Breadcrumb, Server, Infrastructure, Digital Radio along with Desktop and Meeting Room support.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to support teams to resolve priority issues
  • Assist the Technology Supervisor Site Operations in identifying and implementing initiatives that contribute to current and potential value to the business from a Site Operations perspective, ensuring compliance to the Change Management Procedure.
  • Execute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions associated with the work orders.
  • Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.
  • Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process.
  • Ensure returns of unused or reparable materials are processed accurately.
  • Validate quality of work performed prior to completion.
  • Review and request updates to Work Management and other Master Data as required
  • Execute the Maintenance work plan and elevate unplanned and non-routine activity or performance to the Supervisor.
  • Step up as team supervisor as required.

About You

  • Trade certificate in Communications/Electronics/Industrial Electrical or similar Engineering/Control systems qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Digital radio certifications, Business or related discipline or equivalent IT/OT experience
  • Multi Skilled across Communications and Electronic systems including: Digital Radio Communication network, Fleet Management and Drill Positioning Systems, Rajant Breadcrumb, SCADA and Telemetry network, Electronic Fuel Management, Plant and Rail Control Systems
  • Windows 7/10 enterprise support, Microsoft office as Desktop support
  • IT network certifications (CCNA) preferable
  • Valid Australian C class driver’s license
  • Open/ unrestricted cabling license
  • ITIL certification preferred but not essential
