We have a number of opportunities for Specialist  Operations Technology (OT) Technical Engineers Autonomy to join the Operations Technology Mining Improvement coal’s team.

The Specialist OT Technical Engineer Autonomy is a subject matter expert (SME) who provides elevated technical support to operational and projects teams. The Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining the maintenance strategies, plan and schedules within the area of responsibility for all deployed technologies to ensure mobile control systems are maintained in compliance with, work instructions, defined processes, and work schedules to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes.

It is an incredible opportunity to pioneer and develop strong operational frameworks that would lead the way not only for BHP but also for the Industry. 
  • You provide level 3 specialist technical support to deployed OT technology;  
  • Develop/maintain technology standards and processes for Mobile Control Systems;
  • You Execute 1 SAP  work Management and Service Management operational processes to drive consistent service delivery  for the entire scope of accountabilities; and, 
  • Manage ongoing technology delivery to service level agreements from projects to application and asset owners.
In this role you will actively engage with sites across assets develop strong relationships with your internal and external stakeholders.

About You

You have a tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a STEM qualification. You have experience in Mobile Control Systems. You have experience in operational support of mission critical services in large scale environments.

Candidates with existing experience in managing Modular Fleet Systems within  a mining environment will be highly regarded.

You have safety as primary focus and an eye for continuous improvement. You are a problem solver and understand root cause analysis techniques.

You are a good communicator, engage well and know how to present information to different audiences adapting your style  and content to ensure appropriate messages are conveyed.

You understand the broader business context and apply your judgement to manage and priorities your work. You are a self starter, are adaptable to change and thrive at working in an environment that is rapidly evolving.
