About the role

This role supports the procurement teams to operate in a well governed, yet efficient manner. Well governed means:
  1. We comply to internal and external processes & regulations
  2. We have fit for purpose, effective and efficient internal processes and controls to bring the risks within our risk appetite. The golden threat between objectives, risks and controls is clear to all.
  3. Our roles and responsibilities in relation to controls and regulations (internal and external) are clear, well understood, and efficiently and effectively executed
We understand the value of the risks associated with our portfolio. We manage and commercialize these risks within the company’s risk appetite
Support enhancement and business ownership of procurement systems and tools (e.g. GCMS, ProCon, Ariba, spend cube, sourcing and contracting cube).
  • Support development of system improvements for Procurement relating to:
    • Improved vendor experience, simplifying vendor interfaces and requirements
    • Enablement of further automation of work
    • Enablement of Work Design team with system improvements related to efficiency and effectiveness improvements (e.g. are we using our systems as designed today, what functionality do we have but are not using etc)
    • Improved user efficiency (less clicks, less time spend on administration)
  • Become Subject Matter Expert on one or more systems/tools and supports projects to translate ideas into solutions to improve the system, useability and solve pain points.
  • Help improve standardisation of how the system is used globally, improve uptake of the system for current functionality
  • Collate business requirements for procurement systems GCMS, Ariba and ProCon, and assist Principal Governance & Risk in building out the appropriate definition, scoping and prioritization with Technology for RFC’s, PACRs and larger releases
  • Support broader governance work on how we help embed FLR controls and have the system help people be compliant (i.e. systemized controls, implementation of ‘walk me’ functionality similar to what we have in Success Factors)
  • Support Principal Governance and Risk in development of data strategy for future analytics within these core systems - identifying critical fields (new or existing) that will help us with our future analytics and reporting needs
  • Keep abreast of procurement systems market, systems available cases
  • Support or lead ad hoc projects related to the development and implementation of corporate-wide, Commercial or Procurement specific governance initiatives




About You

  • Understanding of technology methodology – design, build, test, implement
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, good stakeholder engagement and collaboration
  • Ability to work in global networked team environment
  • Proven analytical & problem solving skills
  • Undergraduate degree in business, technology, economics or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Procurement standards, processes and systems
  • nderstanding of technology methodology – design, build, test, implement Knowledge of BOS / Continuous Improvement techniques and principles (Lean six sigma green belt preferred)
