About the role

As the Specialist Planner you will play an integral role in the provision of relevant information through your analysis of project data and information to key decision makers within the Olympic Dam Brownfields Expansion Project. Your contribution will ultimately assist in the success of the project to deliver increased Copper Production at Olympic Dam.

This is an Adelaide based role.


In this role you will:
  • Produce analysed schedule data and reports supporting the Project Team to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of the project’s objectives;
  • Provides planning expertise and coordinates resources deployed in the development of planning deliverables;
  • Develops summary and detailed schedules for a program or project; 
  • Develop baseline schedule and monitor/analyse current schedule against established baseline;
  • Participate in schedule range/risk analysis and ranging workshops;
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on contractor schedules and reports;
  • Provide critical path analysis and 3 Week Look-ahead to engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities including assignment of resources; 
  • Monitor critical path activities on a regular basis and provides update and analysis including possible mitigation and corrective actions;  
  • Analyse monthly project progress and provide detailed progress reporting;
  • Ensure schedule meet the internal standard for planning & scheduling.


About You

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in major projects in a Project Planning capacity
  • Experience in mining, minerals processing or heavy industry, ideally in a brownfields capacity
  • Well-developed data analysis skills and the ability to interpret and provide commentary to key project decision makers
  • Proactive, forward thinking and laterally solution-focused
  • Expertise in Primavera P6 and competency in Excel and Word
  • Collaborative and polished communication style
  • High levels of engagement and a solution focused, collaborative mind-set
  • Leading by example; hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in “Safety Leadership”
