About the role

As a Specialist Project Services you will be responsible for assuring the cost and schedule integrity within the Engineering Projects Portfolio. Reporting to the Superintendent Project Services within the Engineering function your key responsibilities will include:
  • Review and challenge in-phase forecasts against baseline
  • Review and challenge estimates, cash-flows and schedules are achievable pre-gate
  • Assure all data is accurately reported within the portfolio management system
  • Demonstrates awareness and can operate within different project approaches and methodologies
  • Relates scope elements and project risk to verify the critical path is correctly baselined and the planned schedule accuracy is within the class range
  • Demonstrates awareness of the different methodologies (and associated uncertainties) to build estimates and verifies the planned estimate is within the class range
  • Interpret schedules, scope documents, risk registers, and estimate data to verify the planned time phasing of cash flows
  • Leads routines in monthly reports that monitor performance against planned schedule, estimate and time phased cost to support the identification of potential deviations.
  • Drives the culture to incorporate the importance of data capture and use within the daily routines of the organisation while improving data quality by analysing and evaluating against a quality framework

About You

You will take pride in having an accurate, achievable and transparent portfolio of projects. Success in this role will require strong analytical skills with a fundamental understanding of engineering’s small project management framework, with strong communication and relationship management skills you will have the ability to influence across various levels.
Additionally you will possess:
  • A tertiary qualification, coupled with previous project management/project controls experience.
  • In depth knowledge of schedule, cost estimate and control practices and theories. You have the capacity to work with and influence a broad set of project engineers. 

You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’.
