About the role

We’re looking for a RAM & Config Specialist to join our team to manage and drive the delivery of RAM planning for our new Rail Technology Project (RTP). You may also get to act as the Configuration Manager. More importantly, this is an opportunity for you ensure the safe completion of new reliability & maintainability initiatives, in a brownfield setting.
We’ll be asking you to play a key role in the successful delivery of this project, whilst engaging with operations, engineering, systems and external signaling vendors. You’ll also be ensuring that RAM delivery activities are aligned to schedule, and assist in reviewing contractor engineering development plans.
Risks will also need to be identified in a timely manner, and you’ll be trusted to devise solutions to improve project work plans. Once RAM demonstrations, we’ll need you to verify compliance with RAM plan and work very closely with vendor to deploy the system.
You will be invited to freely share your opinions in the support of innovation and shape the future direction of our reliability and maintenance strategies.
Kindly note, the role will require occasional site travel.

About You

Consider yourself to be and expert in RAM and configuration management? Want to tackle some unique challenges and become a trusted business advisor? If so, you’ll definitely enjoy this role.
You should bring your engineering software knowledge across to assist us with our rail technology systems and operational concepts! Your experience with RAM on large scale brownfield projects will be also be well-utilised.
Leading and advising should come naturally, and you can easily communicate, collaborate with, and influence others. 
The following attributes will greatly assist your success in role:
  • A genuine commitment to safety and sustainable development.
  • Tertiary qualifications in software / electrical / systems engineering.
  • Familiarity with rail system safety standards (CENELEC).
