About the role

You will become a pivotal member of the newly established Asset Systems risk team, providing support to BMA in ensuring risk is effectively managed by working closely with sites, risk, control owners and functions.

Accountabilities:
  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
  • Ensure alignment with and compliance to Group Level Documents relevant to the area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for the provision of support of Company-wide tools and GRC software systems that support the risk framework.
  • Maintain deep subject matter expertise in the use and application of Company-wide risk management systems.
  • Evaluate implementation of the risk framework to identify and communicate improvements within BMA.


About You

  • Experience in design of risk management frameworks, tools, templates and processes.
  • Experience in control of operational risks
  • Mining or oil and gas experience preferred.
  • Ability to build a culture of collaboration and achieve change through influence.
  • Good analytical skills as well as evaluative judgment based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Confidence to identify opportunities and work with leaders and improve risk management processes and methodologies.
  • Works in a fast paced environment with ability to respond to changing priorities from different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to perform under stress and meet tight deadlines.
  • Responsive to employee and management needs often in stressful situations.
  • Brisbane CBD based, travel may be required.
