About the role

As the Specialist Scheduling and Reporting professional, you will play an integral role in supporting a diverse team of stakeholders within the Geoscience team.

You will be based in our Brisbane office and part of the Coal Geoscience Planning & Technical department. We will provide you with the opportunity to work as part of a small team that plays a key role in advancing the future of the department using equipment production by setting baseline targets, monitoring and reporting actual productions. This includes but not limited to drilling, earthworks, geophysics surveys (airborne, ground and downhole) and rehabilitation activities.

You will have the opportunity to showcase your business improvement and analytical skills whilst working with a variety of stakeholders across Geoscience. You will also play an instrumental part in providing and maintaining a platform to track compliance against Geoscience Delivery Plan, including monthly updates of geological interpretations and model deliveries.

 Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Strategy, Geoscience Coal, you will also be responsible for the following: 
  • Generate physical end-of-month reports for communication to wider Planning & Technical Function leaders and Finance team;
  • Create and deliver monthly Geoscience Compliance to Plan report and actions to resolve non-conformances;
  • Measure monthly Compliance to Plan for all Operational activities;
  • Create and maintain Geoscience Delivery Plan, including technical delivery such as interpretation and models against plan;
  • Liaise with Contracts Principal and Operation team to embed continuous improvement targets into production rates;
  • Load 90 day and 12 month Schedules in reporting platform such as the Geoscience and Operation Spotfire Dashboards and 2D visualisation platform;
  • Provide scheduling guidance to drill plan stakeholders; and
  • Develop and implement improvements to planning processes.

About You

As the successful candidate, you will have a tertiary education in Business, Geoscience, Engineering or equivalent. You will have proven experience in business improvement this will see you excel in this role along with your analytical acumen.

Your strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels. You will also be able to work independently as well as within a team environment and possess a strong collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and be passionate about delivering extraordinary results.
