About the role

We seek highly motivated individuals to join our dynamic team as Specialist Corporate Tax APAC to support the Manager Corporate Tax APAC to assure the tax outcomes for BHP’s Corporate (Group Functions Finance and Treasury) entities through the provision of end-to-end delivery of tax services across a number of jurisdictions. 

Key responsibilities include and not limited to:
·       Provide tax advisory support on transactions, corporate projects and Treasury initiatives  (including restructures, acquisitions, divestments and capital management initiatives).
·       Deliver and implement tax technical advice – accountable for the accuracy and completeness of tax data and/or analysis provided to internal/external stakeholders, ensuring that tax risks and opportunities are identified, quantified and incorporated in advice. 
·       Ensure compliance with all direct / indirect tax return and external reporting obligations
·       Support Manager Corporate Tax APAC with the management of engagements with regional tax authorities
·       Develop business partner relationships with key stakeholders within the businesses and functions
·       Identify and implement tax process improvement opportunities

About You

You are most likely an ambitious tax manager in a Big 4, a senior associate in the tax function within a tier 1 law firm or from a large corporate looking to further your career in the industry. To be successful, you will have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience delivering complex tax advisory services and tax compliance processes for highly complex multinational businesses through a professional services firm.
