About the role

Group Treasury holds the Group-wide mandate to maintain a strong balance sheet and manage all financial market exposures. We achieve this by embedding strategic insight and best in class execution of proactive, value-focused structuring solutions. Within this mandate, the Financial Markets team leads the management of the Groups extensive capital market, foreign exchange, interest rate and liquidity investment activities.


We are now seeking to fill the role of Specialist Financial Markets reporting to the Head of Financial Markets. We are looking for a motivated, curious, and commercial analyst who will support the Group’s financial markets strategy.


In this role you will:
  • Execute the Group’s dealing activities in capital markets, foreign currency, interest rate, liquidity and collateral markets
  • Monitor capital markets; developing and maintaining analytics & dashboards that reflect up-to-date market intelligence and enables value orientated market strategies
  • Support management decision making; contributing analytics, financial modeling, structuring and research within capital market proposals
  • Support structuring and execution of debt capital markets activity; coordinating across tax, legal, company secretariat, financial institutions etc.
  • Maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including relationship banks, debt investors, Group Treasury and Group Functions
  • Support financial market product development from innovation, assessment, internal business case approval through to commercial implementation
  • Adhere to commercial mandates and performance benchmark
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement


About You

To ensure success in this role you will have financial markets experience with a track record in debt advisory, international corporate treasury, wholesale banking or asset management.


You will bring engagement skills, including the ability to build effective relationships with individuals at all levels.


Advanced Excel skills and experience with Bloomberg is required, Treasury Management Systems knowledge and experience with electronic execution platforms is an advantage.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Tertiary level qualification in Commerce, Finance or relevant field, with related post graduate qualifications of Masters, CFA or similar preferred
  • Advanced Excel modelling and proficient Bloomberg and PowerPoint skills
  • Effective communicator capable of building relationships both internally and externally
  • High achieving, motivated, positive outlook, enthusiastic and performance driven
  • A willingness to take responsibility and lead outcomes; ability to work autonomously but also works effectively within a team and is a positive contributor the to team
