About the role

As the Specialist Treasury, you will oversee Treasury risks and internal controls, including operational and financial risks, and manage the risk register and risk forum. You will ensure Treasury activities are performed within the Group approved mandates and risk frameworks, as well as develop risk reporting and monitor compliance reporting.
Reporting to the Manager - Treasury Risk, your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain risk register for Treasury and oversee periodic control reviews
  • Manage quarterly risk forum attended by the Treasury Leadership Team
  • Assess operational risks inherent to Treasury transactions and maintain and oversee SOX controls
  • Support interface with treasury governing bodies (FRMC, RAC)
  • Daily monitoring of group-wide financial exposures
  • Analyse financial risks inherent to group’s financial transactions
  • Support implementation of New Product Approval Process
  • Oversee Treasury Governance Risk and Compliance processes (GRC), anticipating issues and trends effecting Treasury risk profile
  • Act as Subject-Matter-Expert for SOX finance control certification to Group Reporting
  • Facilitate Internal Audits
  • Manage the design and implementation of Treasury risk reporting
  • Update 1SAP processes design within Treasury Risk.

About You

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Graduate qualification in a quantitative discipline
  • Tertiary level qualification in finance or risk
  • Experience in risk management
  • Highly developed presentation and written communication skills
  • High achieving, motivated, positive outlook, enthusiastic and performance driven
  • Willingness to take responsibility and lead outcomes
  • Ability to work autonomously but also works effectively within a team and is a positive contributor
  • 1SAP, Bloomberg and Treasury Management Systems knowledge would be an advantage.
