  Supporting the Study Leads and Study Managers within BHP Iron Ore Asset Projects we have a great opportunity where this role will assist in the planning and management of studies within Asset Level projects through the Identification, Selection and Definition investment phases.  

Reporting to the Study Manager you will provide support in the management of engineering contractors and the generation of execution estimates, schedules, risk assessment and planning.  You will also assist in the preparation and delivery of succinct and high quality Business Case and Investment Approval Request documentation.  
Working in line with BHP Billiton Charter Values, global level policies and statutory obligations whilst maintaining an overriding commitment to Health, Safety & Environment, you will support Study work which enables safe execution and operations phases.  Building key relationships with stakeholders across functional and operational areas, this role supports the development of the project’s business objectives and stakeholder requirements.

About You

  • Degree level qualifications in engineering, science, finance or a relevant commercial, technical and/or operational discipline, with Project Management qualifications preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role where you will have built strong analytical skills as well as the ability to apply your divergent and convergent thinking skills appropriately.
  • Proactive, credible and influential, you relate well with people, communicating confidently and building strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
